Well, we are finally under way. We have lots of work to get done if we are to put out an issue of SCRIBBLIT for the start of next year.
The Scribblit team will have a whole range of tasks to do:
- PRODUCTION: Getting all of the stories / poems / articles into electronic form.
- EDITING: Making sure that the pieces are the best that they can be. Fixing spelling and punctuation errors, suggesting changes of wording.
- ADVERTISING: Encouraging people to contribute to SCRIBBLIT.
- PERMISSIONS: Making sure we have the writers' permission to use their material.
- DESIGN & LAYOUT DECISIONS: Making decisions about how we want SCRIBBLIT to look.
- ILLUSTRATIONS & PHOTOGRAPHS: Organising for visual components of SCRIBBLIT.
- SHORT BIOS: Ensuring we have short bios for each contributor.
We need to remember that any project involves lots of work, and not all of the work is 'glamorous'. There is a lot of hack work - hard, at times boring, work that goes into the production of a book.
The SCRIBBLIT team will meet every Friday at lunch time in Room C11.
